Downgrade iPhone 4S to iOS 6.1.3 using OdysseusOTA

When Apple first released iOS 8 to the general public, more than a few people with older devices such as the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 noticed that it slowed their devices down to a crawl. But today a good news for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users, the iOS hacker who runs the Twitter handle, @tihmstar has created a tool called OdysseusOTA using which he has successfully performed a downgrade of iPhone 4S and iPad 2 to iOS version 6.1.3.
Unfortunately, this tool now only supports for iPhone 4S. The same tool for iPad 2 is released soon.

Why ? He explained that because Apple made a mistake in their code on iOS 5.0.1 and 5.1.1 which 2 devices mentioned are on. These users must update to iOS 6.1.3 in order for their devices to be able to update to latest iOS version.

- On iPhone open MobileTerminal. To move to FileSystem (Jailbeaked) » var » root location, type 2 commands below:

Trên iPhone, mở MobileTerminal. Để di chuyển đến đường dẫn FileSystem (Jailbeaked) » var » root, gõ 2 lệnh sau:

cd ..

cd ..

then type:

if require password, type: alpine (password is not shown on screen while you are typing)

nếu yêu cầu mật khẩu, nhập: alpine (mật khẩu sẽ không hiện lên mà hình khi bạn gõ)

continue to type:

chmod +x kloader

./kloader pwnediBSS

- Your device is now entering DFU mode. Unplug USB cable then plug in. Close iTunes if it automatically opening. In case if failed, pass this step, just leave device on DFU mode, not uplug USB cable then continue next step.

Thiết bị bạn bây giờ đang vào chế độ DFU. Rút cáp USB rồi cắm lại. Đóng iTunes nếu nó tự độn mở. Trong trường hợp thất bại, bỏ qua bước này, cứ để thiết bị ở chế độ DFU, không rút cáp rồi thực hiện bước tiếp theo.

- On computer, open libimobiledevice folder extracted above, hold Shift key then right click on blank space of folder, choose Open command windows here then type:

Trên máy tính, mở thư mục libimobiledevice đã giải nén ở trên, nhấn giữ phím Shift, nhấp chuột phải vào chỗ trống của thư mục, chọn Open command windows here rồi gõ:

idevicerestore -e custom.ipsw

That's all. Leave your device and waiting until the process is finished.
